But do we think about why we say it?
Do we think about who we say it to?
Do we think about why we love them?

The dictionary defines love as:

A profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person.

But can it really be defined?
Is it really that simple?
Is it different for everyone?
What is love?
Love is complicated.
Love isn't simple.
Love isn't just one thing.
Love takes work,
And can sometimes be hard.
But if it's right it's worth it.

That's a word people say a lot,
But do they really mean it?
Do some people think they do,
But really don't?
Are some people blind to it?
Is it lust for some but they think it's love?

Do some forget?
Do some take it for granted?

Does it cause some of us to become complacent?
Is that why so many relationships fail?

Love.

That's a word that we say a lot.

Do we sometimes say it because we feel we have to?
Just because they are family does that mean we have to love them?

Does that mean we have to say we do?

We don't get to choose our family.

Shouldn't we get to choose whether or not we love them?
I know we should but maybe sometimes it better if we don't.

What is love?

I think it's different for everyone.
