Rainwater, home

By Aneek Chatterjee

Rainwater, home

If I draw your attention to

the fact that you're crying,

you will discover the window

& rainwater portraying home on the

glass pane.

Observable phenomena always remain

hidden from us.

How much do we actually see ?

Tears take the shape of home,

we had to abandon long ago,

amid rains.

Since then, rainwater everywhere

has sheltered me.

& when they creep on glass panes,

I look at you.

& I know you are crying.

Let me desist from pointing out

a hidden observation

once more; because I'm

in clandestine tears too.
